The Stay Alive app is a pocket suicide prevention resource for the UK, packed full of useful information to help you stay safe. You can use it if you are having thoughts of suicide or if you are concerned about someone else who may be considering suicide. Find out more

In addition to the resources, the app includes a safety plan, customisable reasons for living, and a life box where you can store photos that are important to you.

 

Suicide prevention leaflet

Do you want to stop hurting yourself? Learn about self-injury and how you can feel better without harming yourself.

What is self-harm? – Self-harm can be a way of dealing with deep distress and emotional pain. It may help you express feelings you can’t put into words, distract you from your life, or release emotional pain. Afterwards, you probably feel better—at least for a little while. But then the painful feelings return, and you feel the urge to hurt yourself again. Find out more

 

Out of hours Mental Health care
Out of hours mental health care provision for 18-65 year olds follows different pathways, depending on whether or not a person is already known to mental health services.

Self-referrals of people not known to mental health services – needing an urgent response.
