Important - We are facing major issues with the NHS App since changing clinical systems. If you try the app and your medications aren’t visible, order via the website, click the link Prescriptions and Medicines and list the medication you require on the Repeat Prescription Request Form. We will take action as soon as possible for you while we are fixing the fault. Please note that starting from November 1st, the only way to request medication will be through the NHS App. We are diligently working to resolve the issues we are currently facing. Please be patient with us as we do our utmost to support you. Please try the NHS App again before your next medication issue, as we hope to fix the fault shortly.

Batch Messaging: via email, NHS app or SMS
You can now send Batch messages and Batch questionnaires to a patient’s email. You have control over whether Accurx defaults to email or not by choosing to include email addresses in your CSV upload. If an email address is provided in the CSV file you upload, the message will be send as an email to the patient. If no email is provided, the message will be sent as an NHS app notification. If patients do not have the NHS app installed on their phone or do not have notifications switched on, the message will be sent as an SMS (text message) to their phone.

What’s in a name?
Florey'sAccurx initially introduced the feature “Floreys” as a tribute to Howard Walter Florey, a medical pioneer. As our products continue to evolve, there is a need for increased clarity for both patients and healthcare professionals. As a result, we are formally changing the name from “Florey” to “questionnaires” within Accurx.

Referrals into the very high risk breast screening programme

NHS England recently advised breast screening services about the delayed referrals of some women who are eligible to be screened within the very high risk (VHR) NHS Breast Screening Programme.

They have published a letter with further information, setting out some important next steps on this and including information for GPs in case the practice receives any queries.

High blood pressure leaves no clues

A new campaign to encourage people to get their blood pressure checked launches today (11 March).
The campaign encourages all adults aged 40+ to get a blood pressure check. It’s a free, simple and non-invasive procedure conducted in privacy at your local pharmacy, and you don’t need to book in advance. Our One Devon website also has local information, advice and support services.
