Annual Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Statement

Infection Prevention and Control (IPC)

At Peverell Park Surgery, we are committed to providing a safe, clean, and high-quality environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) is a key part of delivering safe healthcare and helps reduce the risk of healthcare-associated infections within the practice.

In accordance with the requirements of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and guidance from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), GP practices are expected to review and report on their infection prevention and control arrangements each year. This annual statement outlines the measures we have in place to maintain high standards of cleanliness, staff training, patient safety, risk management, and compliance with current infection control guidance.

The document below provides a summary of our IPC activities during the reporting period, including audits undertaken, staff training, policy updates, cleaning standards, and our priorities for continuous improvement over the coming year. It demonstrates our ongoing commitment to protecting the health and wellbeing of everyone who uses our services.
