Important - We are facing major issues with the NHS App since changing clinical systems. If you try the app and your medications aren’t visible, order via the website, click the link Prescriptions and Medicines and list the medication you require on the Repeat Prescription Request Form. We will take action as soon as possible for you while we are fixing the fault. Please note that starting from November 1st, the only way to request medication will be through the NHS App. We are diligently working to resolve the issues we are currently facing. Please be patient with us as we do our utmost to support you. Please try the NHS App again before your next medication issue, as we hope to fix the fault shortly.

One Devon – Strengthening Devon’s primary and secondary care interface

A new document has been published this week that sets out to support better coordination and collaboration to improve the safety, effectiveness, experience, and outcomes for the care we provide together.

The interface document, the result of several years of collaboration, covers a wide range of situations including prescribing, fit notes, diagnostics and more. It is hoped that these will provide clarity around thOnedevone actions and responsibilities as our care becomes increasingly multidisciplinary and spans organisational boundaries.

Surgery Connect: An Introduction to Check and Cancel

Check&cancel

Check and Cancel is an appointment self-serve feature aimed at reducing traffic into Reception and giving patients greater flexibility. This self-serve feature reduces DNAs as patients are less likely to forget an appointment if they have double-checked the date(s) and time(s) of their upcoming appointment(s). The ability to cancel without queuing means patients are more likely to cancel an appointment, freeing it up for someone else. Find out more

Surgery Connect – Patient Queue SMS

Queuesms

A new patient callback feature has been activated. This feature sends an SMS message to a patient’s mobile phone when they have opted for an automated callback and there are more than five patients in the main call queue.

The message has the queue position, a customisable message and a button to cancel the callback. This should help manage calls during very busy periods.

Phonebar launch V7
The next iteration of the Phonebar will be launching in April. It can be integrated with both EMIS and SystmOne and also works independently of clinical integration making it suitable for remote workers. V7 sees the Help icon replaced with the user’s initials which accesses a menu. The menu accesses other Surgery Connect consoles, allows users to choose which icons they wish to appear in their Phonebar to assist with daily tasks and gives the option to choose the CLI they wish to call from. Phonebarv7Users can also access their call recordings and personal voicemails from the call history. Integration users will also benefit from an improved patient pop up window.
