Important - We are making important improvements to how you contact our GP surgery. These changes are designed to make access easier, fairer, and more efficient for all our patients, ensuring everyone has an equal opportunity to reach us when they need care. What’s Changing? From 23rd March, we will be moving to a new online access system called SystmConnect. This change supports new NHS contractual requirements, which set out how GP practices must provide fair, consistent access during core hours.

We're open
Peverell Park Surgery is introducing a new digital tool called Surgery Intellect, powered by ambient voice transcription (AVT) technology. This system securely listens to your consultation—whether in person or over the phone—and produces an accurate summary of the discussion. It is designed to reduce administrative time, improve record accuracy, and allow clinicians to spend more time focusing directly on you.
Why we are using Surgery Intellect
Instead of typing notes while you talk, your clinician can maintain eye contact, listen more closely, and focus on understanding your concerns.
This supports safer and more personalised care.
Surgery Intellect generates a structured note of the consultation, helping ensure nothing important is missed. The clinician always checks, edits and approves this summary before adding it to your GP record.
This improves consistency and documentation quality.
Accurate records help any clinician in the practice understand your medical history quickly, improving continuity of care and reducing the risk of errors.
Surgery Intellect is designed to help clinicians maintain high‑quality, coded notes.
The tool reduces the administrative burden so clinicians can use appointments more efficiently and spend more of the consultation focused on listening and advising.
Your privacy and data security
Your information is handled safely and securely:
» Only the necessary parts of the consultation are transcribed.
» Your clinician always reviews and approves the note before it becomes part of your medical record.
» Data is processed within secure, approved NHS systems and follows strict UK data protection rules.
If you have any concerns, you can ask your clinician to explain how the tool works during your appointment.
Your choice matters
We will ask for your consent before using AVT during your consultation, and if at any point you prefer not to use it, please let your clinician know. It is designed to help—not replace—the personal care you receive.
